About judges
JIM NOLAN - Veyaties Labradors (UK)

IN 1964 we purchased our first Labrador, Braejoy Nightingale, (sired by Ch Braeduke Joyful) who
sired our Ch Glendale Penny,  trained by Jim together with other Veyatie Labradors for both
work and show.
Over the years our involvement in Labradors has been extensive with Elise serving 9 years
as Secretary/Treasurer of the Labrador Club of Scotland, with Jim a Committee Member for
approximately 30 years, both retiring from active involvement with the club in the year 2001.
Elise, who continued as a committee member was also Year Book Editor with Jim producing
the modern-style book for some 5 years thus bringing the club into line with the leading British
Club, the Labrador Ret. Club.
Among our well-known Labradors are Philippine Ch Veyatie Driving Along, and his black
top-winning sister, Veyatie Driving Miss Daisy, who won 2 Reserve CCs and has been Best of
Breed at the Labrador Club of Scotland Open Show on more than one occasion as well as
Best Opposite Sex on other occasions. Daisy, now deceased, was usually placed at
Championship Shows throughout Great Britain.
Veyatie Melody Maker (Reserve CC winner) Daisy’s dam, also produced American Champion
Veyatie Barra who sired some excellent stock over in California, and Veyatie Rock n` Roll winner
of 1 CC and European Champion 1998. Multi Champion Veyatie Proper Charlie (out of a half-sister
of Melody) a stalwart of Jeff and Mariette Verrees van Hoof’s kennel in Belgium, who also won well
with Veyatie Peregrine, a Luxembourg Champion. Our own Veyatie Paddywack was a great
favourite of our family and he also won 1 CC, a great day as Gwen Broadley also gave him BoB
over the breed record holder, Sh Ch Croftspa Hazelnut of Foxrush 45CCs. Sadly he hated the
show ring and we retired him. In 2006 we sent a lovely yellow bitch puppy from our last ever litter
to Jan Cameron in Canada, and she was made up and produced excellent puppies who are
winning well. We  kept a male puppy, Rory, now 12.
We are both Kennel Club approved Judges at Championship Show level for Labrador Retrievers.
We have judged Labradors in approximately 30 countries. Great Britain: The Labrador Retriever Club,
The Yellow Labrador Ret Club, The Labrador Club of Scotland, The Midland Counties Lab. Ret. Club, as well as most of the other Labrador Breed Clubs, and many General Championship Shows, such as Windsor, SKC., United Ret., etc., and of course Jim judged 300 Labrador bitches at Crufts, 2006, a record for any breed at that time. In 2013 Elise judged Labrador Dogs at Crufts, and as a small kennel we are so proud to have been both recognised by our peers as capable of judging at the World's premiere dog show.   U.S.A.: Potomac Labrador Club, Golden Gate Lab. Club, Mid Jersey Lab. Club, Central Connecticut Lab. Club, San Joaquin. Other countries include; Australia, Hungary, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Ireland, South Africa, Spain, Luxembourg, Denmark, Holland and Russia.
We are now retired and living on the West Coast of Scotland in a most beautiful position with Rory keeping us occupied, attending just a few Championship Shows not as exhibitors but giving us some pleasure, and most importantly, meeting old friends.

FIONA CLARKSON - Drumkilty Goldens (UK)

I fell in love with Goldens as a child and became the proud owner of my first one
at the age of 14. She was the reason I followed my career path in veterinary
nursing, although I now work in welfare and am particularly interested in Behaviour.Inline
image. I have bred and owned two UK Champions, one Irish Champion
and 17 Stud Book number holders including Junior Warrant, CC and RCC winners.
After a long apprenticeship, I started judging only in 1995, awarding CC's for
the first time in 2005. I enjoy judging abroad and having the opportunity to get hands
on different dogs. To date, I have judged in Belgium, Italy, Holland, Ireland, France,
Denmark, the Czech Republic and Finland, and I am very much looking forward to
seeing your dogs in Croatia.

MR DAMIR VUČIĆ - Imperium Salonae Goldens (CRO)

I was born in Croatia, in 1966 in Sinj in the very heart of Dalmatia.
As a boy I lived with my parents in Germany in Frankfurt, where started my love
towards dogs which was later continued in Solin when my whole family returned
in Croatia. In our house dogs have always been treated as equal members of the
family.
In 1994 I fell in love with cynology deciding to seriously engage with it. Golden
Retrievers are dogs that I was thrilled and delighted with and it remained so
until today. My first dog show steps are related to Split kennel club where I was
active in organizing shows and breeding examinations. I continued my activities
in the Croatian Club for Retrievers of which I am still a member. I am a longtime
member of The Golden Retriever Club of Great Britain, from where I have an
inexhaustible source of experience related to breeding and judging of Golden
Retrievers.
Together with my wife Danijela in 1995 I established a kennel “Imperium
Salonae” having very successful breeding of Golden Retrievers for years. Also
we are proud owners of numerous dogs, many of which are from our own
breeding.
I became a judge in 1999 firstly for Retrievers and later for all other breeds in
FCI group VIII. Since 2005, I am a judge for the English Setter and Irish Setter
from FCI group VII.
Since I started judging I ‘ve judged in Finland, Italy, Serbia and Croatia so far.
Our breeding is based on purely British blood lines from the most respected kennels but also new dogs that are bred for us by our friends in Swedish kennel GOLDENLINES from which we have a male who is producing really nice for us. I would like to mention also kennel SIATHAM from the UK and my dear mentor Anne Falconer, from whom I learned a lot about the breed Golden Retriever, having also two beautiful males in our kennel.
